Senior Vice President
I grew up in Lincoln, NE and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1970, with a degree in Ag Engineering. I managed soybean-processing plants, grain elevators and a commodity firm, and was also involved in crop and livestock production. My banking career began in 1990 with the Farmers National Bank in Madison, NE. I worked there for three years, then at the Pinnacle Bank in Schuyler for three years, and joined Howells branch of First National Bank, Schuyler (now Homestead Bank) in 1996.
My wife, Bev and I live on a farm north of Howells, which was originally homesteaded by her great-great grandparents. Bev has been a teacher at Wisner-Pilger for 24 years. We have four grown children, and eight grandchildren.
My past and present community activities include: Howells Community Club President, Schuyler Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Cuming County Zoning Board, Cuming County Livestock Feeders President, Nebraska Livestock Feeders Board of Directors. I am past president of Northeast Economic Development, Inc. and currently serve on their Board of Directors. I serve on the business loan committee of the Northeast Nebraska Economic Development District.
My hobbies include home remodeling, golf and spending time with our grandchildren
