I grew up on a farm in Stanton County, and graduated from Stanton High School. After graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a BS in Agriculture, I went back to the farm to raise crops and cattle. My wife, Sendy, and I married in 1984 and were blessed with two sons and a daughter. Justin graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2009 and works for a Howells-area farmer. Megan graduated from National American University in 2009, is married with one daughter, and lives and works in nearby Schuyler. John graduated from Northeast Community College in 2009, and lives and works in Howells as an HVAC technician.
In 1998, I began working for Leprino Foods at their cheese plant in Dodge, working my way up to Plant Manager. I also worked as Production Manager in the Leprino Ravenna plant. In 2004, I earned my insurance and investment licenses and became an Agent for Farm Bureau. In 2005, I was offered a position as a Loan Officer in the First National Bank, Schuyler, and continue to serve Ag and Commercial customers in the Howells and Albion areas with Homestead Bank. I have also maintained my insurance licenses and continue to serve area producers' Crop Insurance needs.
My hobbies include hunting, fishing, gardening, and helping friends in farming activities. Past and present community involvement includes Stanton County Fair Board, leadership positions in various county and state cattle organizations, Youth Baseball, Howells Community Club, and as a volunteer in the Howells Rescue Squad.
