My hometown is Fairfield in south central Nebraska. After graduating from Fairfield High, I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Kearney State College in 1971. While at Kearney, I participated in their basketball and track programs. After college, I taught and coached for six years before beginning my banking career at the Overland National Bank in Grand Island. After three years, I joined First National Bank, Schuyler in 1980, most recently serving as Branch President for Homestead Bank in Schuyler.
My wife, Sandra, recently retired after teaching for over 26 years. We have three married children who have blessed us with six grandchildren. We all enjoy playing golf and spending time on the lake, and I like to do some hunting and fishing. Present community activities include Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, Schuyler Development Company, Planning and Zoning Board, Schuyler Public Library Foundation and Board of Trustees of our church. Past activities include Memorial Hospital Board, Memorial Hospital Foundation Board and local area youth activities.
