I grew up on a farm near David City, Nebraska and graduated from David City High School. I continued my education in Omaha and worked for five years in the laboratory at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Lincoln. I moved to St. Paul and began working for St. Paul National Bank in 1979, first as a teller and soon thereafter loan secretary. Homestead Bank purchased the bank in 1984, and I was promoted to loan officer in 1997. I take care of most consumer loans at the St. Paul branch, and residential real estate loans for our customers in the St. Paul, Wolbach and Albion areas.
The wide open spaces of life on the farm instilled in me an appreciation of the outdoors. I like to kayak, hike, bike, and work in the yard. Traveling near and far has allowed me to develop an appreciation of different cultures, foods, customs and landscapes. I also enjoy attending concerts and plays and have even acted in a few plays.
I serve as the St. Paul City Treasurer. Community involvement, past and present includes: Howard County Foundation, TeamMates, GCA (Grover Cleveland Alexander) Days Committee, Chapter AP, P.E.O., St. Paul Development Corporation, St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce, Howard County Election Board, Area Community Theatre, St. Paul Community Choir, National Wild Turkey Federation's - Women in the Outdoors, and St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
