I grew up in Northwest Iowa where I attended Iowa Central Community College and Iowa State University. I started my banking career in 1980. I moved to Bancroft, Nebraska in 1985 where I started with The First National Bank of Bancroft as Assistant Cashier and eventually worked my way up to Chief Executive Officer. I worked for the Bank of Colorado in Craig, before deciding to return to Nebraska. I joined Homestead Bank in 2009.
My wife, Kathy, is currently the Chief Nursing Officer at Howard County Community Hospital. Between the two of us, we have five kids and four grandkids.
Past community activities include Board Member of the Craig-Moffat Economic Development Partnership and Vice President of the Craig Chamber Ambassadors. Our hobbies include fishing, hunting, skiing, camping, golf and boating. I am currently the President Elect Nominee of the St. Paul Rotary Club.
